On June 6th and 7th of this year, the Janeway Children’s Hospital Foundation held its 31st annual Janeway Children’s Miracle Network Telethon throughout the province. The Telethon raised more than $3 million dollars – setting a new record in support of services and equipment for the Janeway Health and Rehabilitation Centre.
This generous support helps our health care professionals to provide the best possible care to the children of Newfoundland and Labrador. The result: hundreds of positive outcomes for our patients and their families. Sometimes, the outcomes seem nothing short of miraculous!
During the Telethon, viewers were treated to several stories about these ‘miracle kids,’ – their families and health care teams. Over the next several weeks, courtesy of the Janeway Foundation, we will re-post these stories on StoryLine – stories sure to warm your heart!
Carter Churchill: Miracle Kid
Carter Churchill has stolen the hearts of all who know him, especially when he gives you that “two thumbs up.”
Cerebral Palsy will not stop this child from moving forward. He learns something new every day and like any four-year-old, he is a whiz on a computer. ■
Here’s Carter!
