Charles Dickens, author of “A Christmas Carol,” once said, “There is nothing in the world so irresistibly contagious as laughter and good humour.” These qualities were certainly in abundance at a recent event at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home, fondly known as St. Pat’s.
As Old Christmas Day heralds the end of the 2017 holiday season, we’d like to share a special video from this event.
Each year, St. Pat’s staff and volunteers organize and participate in their “Santa Run.” As part of this event, each resident receives a hand-delivered gift bag from Santa that contains goodies that have been donated by the elves at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home Foundation
St. Pat’s staff and volunteers singing carols, join Santa as he makes his merry way through the facility.
The ‘Run’ is one of many events that take place throughout Eastern Health during the holiday season, but this event has become a much loved and much anticipated favourite among St. Pat’s staff and residents.
As we roll into 2018, we hope you enjoy this short video and would like to wish you a wonderful and prosperous New Year.
