Coping with grief over the holiday season


The holiday season is upon us – and emotions are running high, with all the excitement and anticipation of gift giving and special gatherings with family and friends. But this time of year can also be a very difficult time of year if you’ve lost a loved one recently – for all of the very same reasons.

Grief and the holidays can be a challenging mix. With this in mind, every year around this time, Eastern Health’s Pastoral Care and Bereavement Services offers help – in the form of free public sessions called “Coping with the Holidays.”
