Back to School Anxiety During COVID-19: Strategies to Prepare


It’s that time of year when kids head back to school – a time normally filled with excitement as they reconnect with classmates and start a new chapter in their education journey.

However, with the advent of COVID-19, a new landscape has emerged, one we call the “new normal” which is causing anxiety for some children and parents.

In this video presentation, Dr. Janine Hubbard, clinical psychologist at Eastern Health, discusses these concerns and potential issues, and more importantly offers strategies and solutions to reduce fears and help parents aim for a successful start to the school year.
